Pine honey is a special category of honey that comes mainly from the honeydew secretions of insects that live on coniferous trees. It does not come from the nectar of flowers, but from the honeydew produced by insects such as Marchalina hellenica (pine worker) and Physokermes hemicryphus (fir insect).
